The Chassids or Essenes

The Chassids were called 'elsiyon, on sons of Siyon or Zion and hasiyonim; that is the sons who guarded mount Sion or Zion. The Greek name for the 'elsiyon was Essaei or Essene, because of the custom of wearing a knotted cord around the waist containing the Essen or Oracle stones in a pouch or breastplate. The stones were used like the ancient worm and through men to consult God, a tradition inherited from the days of Aaron, older brother of Moses and first high priest of the Hebrew nation.
The Chassids venerated the sun as the visible, conscious image of God manifest to the world of matter as a cosmic intermediary for use by the pious ones in the struggle against Satan, ruler of the material world. It was a fundamental teaching that salvation was not to be attained outside the ordinances of God. Through their mikv'ot or ritual bath were undertaken daily in seawater in the Dead Sea as a symbol of washing away impurity, the ritual did not of itself plans anyone not living the ordinances within the assembly or community. Because the Jerusalem priests had defiled the land and the temple by blood sacrifices, the Chassid rabbis taught that the Shekinah or divine presence of God forsaken the people. The Chassids preached that with the coming Advent of the Messiah of Aaron and Israel, the glory of the Lord would again manifest to the righteous of the earth. Until that appearance the Chassids chose to remain in exile.
The Messiah's reign was inaugurated with the twin ministries of John the Baptist and, of his cousin, Jesus; both were Chassid rabbis of the line of Arron and of Israel. Together, these teachers begin to call out to the sheep of Israel as shepherds and delegates of God to return to the way. They presaged that the End days of Israel were imminent unless the land repented and opposed the priests at the temple. The Ministry of John, who called Israel to repentance and proclaimed Jesus as the prophesied Messiah of the Chassids, was wrought with mystery and was little understood by the common people. Who under the influence of the state religion, were drugged and in the mental and spiritual stupor.
The Chassids or Essaei were an eternal race—a chosen race set apart and distinct from the Orthodox priests; they kept unto themselves and were separate from the land and the people. They were guardians of a spiritual inheritance meant for the human family, but reserved for those who pledged to live with in the Halukhah, or Way, for it was taught that it was not within the power of all men to guard the sacred doctrines and divine revelations initiation into the secrets was a gift reserved the sons of God dedicated to his service.
Ut was taught that man's soul was made in the Image of God's Likeness, which was Divine Light, and imbued with God's Word, the Logos.
